40 Miles in 4 weeks!


That was my goal and I'm happy to report......I did it!!!!!!!!!! :D

In order to meet that goal, I had to run 6 miles today!...Thanks to my "vacation" and the lack of miles between 6/29 and 7/5. That's ok though, I'm happy I ended my 4 weeks with a long run.

Ok, so technically, the total was 39.95 miles (see box on right!). I am very tempted to go outside and run to the next block and come back, but let's face it...I can't feel my legs, it's like a 100F out there and I'm in my PJs!.

For the sake of rounding up, we will say that running up the stairs to bring my Garmin to the computer to upload tonight's workout counts for the 0.05 miles that I was short by.

Seriously! How annoying is that? I may still have to run to the block and back!

Ok, who am I kidding, I really can't feel my legs!

In the spirit on maintaining momentum and keep challenging myself, here is the next goal: increase 2 miles per week, for a total of 12 miles per week. That's 48 miles, but I like round numbers so.....

50 miles in the next 4 weeks!
