I know, I'm long over due for an update!
The last three weeks have been amazing. There hasn't been much sleep around here, but I have found energy I never knew I had!...plus I know they will grow fast, so I'm trying to enjoy everyday and take mental pictures of how precious they are.
Alex and Lucas are just precious...and they are great babies!. They get a little fussy at night, but overall they are happy guys!. We did have a hard time on the breast feeding front...and I may (or may not) post about that experience at a later time. It is the most frustrating thing and just thinking about it makes me sad, so let's just leave it at that for now.
My Alex....you are so special. You were smaller than your brother, but it seems to me like you're working extra hard to put on some weight. You love to eat (and sometimes eat too fast!). You are usually calm, but intense at the same time. You love it when people talk to you...you really listen and look at them straight in their eyes. You love to sleep with your arms spread all over the place...and love to sleep on mommy's chest!. You love to cross your little feet (in what I imagine was your favorite position in utero).
My Lucas...you too are so special. You are just such a happy guy. Sure, you haven't gotten the hang of the differences between day and night...and sometimes you confuse them, but you smile all the same. Whether is at 3am while I try to rock you to sleep, or during a nap next to your brother. You have dimples to die for, they just melt my heart!. You love it when people sing to you...specially my mom. You love it when grandma sings to you! She makes up the best songs!. You love to have your hand near your face...it's almost like you cover your eyes to sleep better!.
It's crazy...just 3 weeks old and already these guys have so much personality. There is just so much to love already!...who needs sleep, it's overrated (or so I tell myself anyway!).
Time to feed the little ones!

I'm so glad you're all doing well. They're gorgeous! I too am surprised at how much personality my girls have and how different they are! I know what you mean on the breastfeeding front :( I just started posting my breastfeeding story since all the books make it sound like this easy thing and it is so NOT easy.
Again, I'm so glad things are going well and that you're enjoying the little blessings!
That's great that things are going so well. It's VERY common for babies to get fussy during the evening. Especially around the same time every evening. It's just a habit some babies have. It's totally normal and nothing that you're doing wrong.
They're precious little guys, I can't wait to see them grow!
