Belly picture......

Ok, not really me (in case you didn't notice)...but it does show EXACTLY how I feel!!!

You know how sea lions are lazy, have tiny little heads compared to their bodies, love to snuggle, move by rolling around (because it's too hard to move in any other way) and snore really loud?. Well, that's me. The only thing they are missing are the swollen feet!.

This picture was taken last year on our trip to California. A trip we I liked to call our second Honeymoon!. It was the best trip ever. San Francisco, Big Sur, Monterrey Bay, Carmel, Yosemite and finishing in Napa/Sonoma.

And here is another picture from the same trip with my handsome and loved hubs!

Both boys passed their NSTs again today, that's like four in a row!. I'm such a proud momma ;)

I love October, it's such a great month...isn't it?

34 weeks bump pic!

34 weeks and both boys passed the NST today to celebrate!!!

FOUR. WEEKS. TO. GO.

Just a few things left to do:

- Finish babies binder (I manage projects for living so of course I had to get myself a binder with all sorts of tabs, logs and organization!).
- Install and inspect car seats
- Set-up glider (arrives next week!) and frame latest Etsy art
- Pack hospital bag for me, husbter and the babies
- Get a couple of "It's a boy" signs from the party supply store :)

Pretty much that's it. I am sure I am forgetting something though!.

And just when you think you're too far along to develop any new crazy pregnancy side effects....I get: Eczema!!. My poor fingers! I'm not sure what to do...wait it out for 4 more weeks or call the dermatologist (like I need to add another Drs appointment to my schedule!)

33 weeks!!

Yep, that's right! 33 weeks!!!.

I won't lie...I've hit a wall and it's getting harder and harder everyday. I don't want to send the boys mixed messages and say I'm done being pregnant...but boy it's been a tough week!. I think all the drama with the non-passing NSTs and the trip to L&D have gotten to me.

Add to that the fact that I work from home so I don't have much interaction with the outside world nowadays (since I'm not running or attending gym classes!). I leave the house either to hang out at the Dr's office or to get groceries. I guess you could say what's really getting to me is the combination of: cabin fever + excitement + raging hormones + over sized growing body + anxiousness...plus the good ol' discomforts of pregnancy (which quite honestly, you learn to live with after a while and forget at one point you used to be a flexible, active and pain free gal).

Today we had our third NST...and guess who passed?

Baby A...yep, he finally did!!...can I get a what-what!!??

Now, guess who failed....Baby B!. So off to the ultrasound again, which was ok since we had our growth ultrasound scheduled anyway. Both babies are looking good and... (drum roll)

Each one weighs 4.5 lbs !!!!!!! (applause please)

(and babies do a standing ovation)

Go boys!!!!

So it's been a tough week, but I'm feeling better about the next....my mantra for the next 5 weeks will be "we're almost there, we're almost there" while I think of chubby little legs.

And here is the bump picture...

Ps: I already ordered the additional art for the nursery (see post below). Stay tuned to see what I got and how it looks in the nursery once it arrives!

32 week bump picture!!!

WoooHoo!! 32 weeks!

Throughout pregnancy I've liked to think of mini-milestones...my big one was 32 weeks! -- and here we are!.

My next big milestone is 36 weeks...so four weeks!. After 36 weeks there is a very good chance the boys wouldn't have to spend ANY time in the NICU...and that is something to pray and look forward to!

Also, today I go in for the first non-stress test. Starting today I go in twice a week until the boys arrive!

Here is some info on this test from Babycenter.com

What is a nonstress test?

This simple, painless procedure is done during pregnancy to evaluate your baby's condition. During the test, your healthcare practitioner or a technician monitors your baby's heartbeat, first while the baby is resting and then while he's moving. Just as your heart beats faster when you're active, your baby's heart rate should go up while he's moving or kicking.

What do the results mean?

If your baby's heart beats faster (at least 15 beats per minute over his resting rate) while he's moving for at least 15 seconds on two separate occasions during a 20-minute span, the result is normal, or "reactive." A normal result means that your baby is probably doing fine for now.

...And since I am particularly happy today I thought I would try to squeeze my happy face into the camera (not that easy since I take these from the computer!)

Hope everyone is having a great Thursday!!!

31 week Bump and the party continues!

If you haven't entered my giveaway, scroll down to the next post and enter!!!.

Today the party continues over at the Multiples blog network!. They kicked it off today with an awesome giveaway! A single stroller from Tyke Tech!. I know what you're thinking, I'm having TWO babies...but a single stroller comes in handy for those times when you're only taking one baby out (to the Drs office, etc). So I'm entering that giveaway and many more ;))

Yesterday with all the giveaway excitement I forgot to post the 31 week bump picture!. Here it is :)

Growing and growing!

30 weeks bump pic!

30 weeks today!!! :D

Tonight, I go to Breast feeding class and next week we start the Childbirth classes at the hospital! It's getting so close, I'm starting to feel anxious!

Last night I had dream about the babies. I had them at 35.5 weeks and guess what? we had agreed on names!. Only in my dreams!!

29 weeks (+1 day) bump!

Had a hectic day yesterday so didn't get around to posting this week's bump picture!. I promise it looks just like it did yesterday ;)

Due to a slight scare yesterday (everything is fine) I've decided to make myself take it really easy from now on. That means it will take me double the time to get the nursery done, but that's ok...the priorities are the babies so I surrender myself to spending some quality time with the couch (which is not entirely a bad thing since our couch is pretty darn comfy!).

On other news, the nursery's closet should be all done today!. I can't wait because that means I can finally start putting things away (slowwwly, I know).

Happy Friday!

28 weeks! Watch us grow!

In celebration of hitting the 28-week mark, I'm posting a buffet of pictures so you see just how much I've grown in the past 6-7 months!

And yes, I thought by the beginning of the 2nd trimester I was already "huge"...haha, ohhh how little did I know!

Just 10-12 more weeks boys!!! We can't wait to meet you! (although I'm slightly scared by the belly size of upcoming set of weekly pictures!)

Oh honey...Oh Sugar, sugar!

Well...I won't have to say goodbye to sweets! (not that I eat tons of them anyway, but I give in to temptation once in a while!).

To bring you up to speed...I failed my one-hour glucose test :( . I got the dreaded call from the Dr telling me I had to do the 3-hour test. Honestly, I was more terrified about fasting and not eating for 3 hours than actually failing the test!.

I told myself it had to be done, I put on a happy face (not really) and I headed out to the 3-hour test. Hoping I wouldn't eat anyone on the way there (or during the wait). Thankfully, I survived the hunger...and got a call today: I PASSED! :)

Tomorrow it's 27 weeks (and the beginning of the 3rd trimester!)...one more week and I'm at the 28-mark, which I guess is one of those "milestones" for the babies. If they were to make a super early appearance (which they won't...we've had talks about this), they would have very good chances!.

Again, we've had some talks and they're not going anywhere...they seem nice and comfy in the belly and I'm happy to let my bears stay there cooking for the next 10 weeks...even if they're kicking away like there is no tomorrow!

Here is a picture from yesterday. Yep, I'm wearing the same shorts...my maternity wardrobe is sort of limited ;)

26 week bump!

Not the best pictures, but I had to try taking it with my new Mac ;)

My new goal is to catch the belly movements on film (because it's just too cool!).  Of course, once I get up to get the camera, the boys get shy and stop moving!.

I get confused by the months, weeks or trimesters in pregnancy...but I believe next week is the official start of my 3rd trimester!

Where does time go!?

I can't believe I'll be 25 weeks in two days!

You would think by now I should be getting used to having a bump...well, not so much.  I hit my belly with the fridge door a couple of times a day and "bump my bump" on doors on a daily basis.  I also forget I can't squeeze into small places (like trying to squeeze myself and the grocery shopping cart at the same time through the check out lane!).

On Monday we went to the Dr (the peri) and everything looks great!.  The babies are no longer on their sides...now Baby A is standing up while B is doing head flips ;)).  Perfect Ying Yang!.

Baby A weighs a whooping 1 lb 12 oz and Baby B is 1 lb 11oz.  In two weeks, they've gained almost 10 oz each...which makes me happy ;)

The belly measures 31 weeks!.  A little scary since I'm not even 25 weeks...but the Dr was happy and I guess it comes with the "twins territory".   They have a nice big house in there to bounce around (which makes the hubster happy!)

On other news..my baby shower is in one week and a half!!.  My sister has been working really hard every night on all the details (keeping it all a surprise)...I simply cannot wait to see everything she made and what she has planned :D

That weekend is also Catholic Girls gone wild Part II (long story) with Ana and Alicia -- who's coming all the way from Canada!!!.  Sooo exciting!!!!!
