Happy Valentine's day and seriously, I know my hands are full!!

From Alex and Lucas :)

It's hard to believe, a year ago I was running a race...and today I'm strategizing on how to get babies to nap without swaddles (yep, the swaddle wars continue!!)

Yesterday me and the boys went to the art festival with my neighbors. My neighbor, wanted to be the one pushing the stroller (which was awesome for me because then I had free hands and could walk around with my tasty beer!).

After about 30 minutes she said she was done!. I asked if it was because it was heavy (the snap and go isn't the friendliest to steer!)...she said no, she was just done with people talking to her! haha ;)

I guess I've gotten used to people feeling like having twins is an open invitation to ask ANY kind of question. I actually don't mind when people talk to me or ask me questions...of course with the exception of a few that take it a bit too far/personal!

Having twins is also a trigger for everyone's favorite thing to say to a mom of multiples: "You've got your hands full!".

So I start pushing the stroller and these two women stop me, they tell me how "I have my hands full"... yadda, yadda, yadda...I nod and smile. Then she goes on to way she ran into a mom of triplets the other day...and she was telling her how she must have her hands full (of course). She tells me she felt bad because the "poor thing" (aka the triplets' mom) looked so miserable. I wanted to break it to her: "Lady, she is NOT miserable...she is just probably sick of hearing the same thing 20 times a day!"

...but it was a beautiful day and I was enjoying my nice cold beer....so again, I just smiled, nodded and walked away!

Your babies are adorable and I love following your blog. As a mom of 5 I wanted to make sure that you know that all you need to do is get a little bit bigger blanket or make your own by hemming a piece of fabric (lightweight flannel works nicely) and then wrap up your little baby burrito and you're good to go. Unless of course you're ready to kick the swaddling and then by all means wean away :)

Good for you for showing restraint... but I would have loved to see the look on her face if you told her why the triplet mom looked so miserable:) hehe:)
