crushed!
That's right, my dreams of having a six pack were crushed by a Doctor yesterday.
He explained I have muscle separation (from that belly) and I have a small hernia....and just like that, he explained that doing regular crunches is basically a waste of time...since there is no actual muscle in the middle of the abdominal area.
Like I needed a great excuse to skip the ab work! Ha!
I didn't have dreams of a six pack...but I would have been happy to know I had the potential to have a flat stomach, one day. Now, I'm not sure it's ever going to be flat...since what's in "the middle" is basically just a lack of muscles! Who's going to fight that fat!!!???
The hernia will be taken care of next week. The muscle separation, well, they consider that "cosmetic surgery". So basically now I have the potential to develop future hernias due to that problem, but that's cosmetic surgery? Really?. I'm going to be consulting Dr Google on that.
But it's not all bad news, I should be able to go back to running 1-2 weeks after the hernia repair!!!. So watch out Tati, I'm going to catch up to you!
And at least now I have an excuse for not looking like this after having babies:

I can say "well, of course I would look like that too if I didn't have muscle separation!!!"
Take that Heidi Klum!

Que vivan las excusas!!!
I'm just gonna steal what your doctor said and use it as my excuse too. Don't tell anybody. ;-)
We may not look like Heidi, but Heidi doesn't have MULTIPLE adorable babies like we do, so we got the better deal:)
Look up Julie Tupler. Her abdominal techniques fix abdominal separation and they're super easy :)
