Christmas came early...

Santa, you ROCK!!!

Last night the babies went to sleep at their regular bedtime...7:30ish.

We decided to skip the "dream feed" or "top off" at 11pm and let them naturally wake up whenever they did. Friday was the first time we tried and my loved, sweet husband fed them by himself (so I could sleep!).

We did this Friday night and it was a bit of a mess, since they ended up eating at 1am then waking up at 3am, 4am and 5am..only to eat at 5am and then have their schedules messed up the whole day!.

Anyway, we decided to try again last night. The hubs was on duty again (since it's the weekend)...and they woke up to eat at around 12:45am.

Then........

They didn't wake up until 6:15 am!!!...and pretty much at the same time. I decided to not make them wait until their "scheduled" 7 am feeding, and just fed them :))

Our scheduled may be a bit off today, but it's all for a good cause.

Santa...THANK YOU!. My doggie still walks in zig zags, but my babies are on their way to dropping one night time feeding!!!!!!!

Happy 2 months!

A few days late, but better late than never!.

They have gotten so big and are more fun every day. They smile all the time now and have their own distinct personalities!. Alex is intense, sweet, attentive and determined (he rolled over a couple of weeks ago...and let me tell you, he was determined to do it!). Lucas is sweet, easy going, lovable and let's you know when something is bothering him!.

Both of them are just such great babies. One slightly more needy than the other, but I won't be giving names ;)

They have a great routine now (sanity saver for me!) and are pretty consistently going to bed at 7:30pm, waking up at 6:30 am with two night time feedings in between. There is something to be said about working hard to get a schedule going and get them on a predictable routine day/night. Keeps everyone happier and I think when you have two (or more) babies, a routine is just a must.

The last two months they have been surrounded by the people that love them the most!! Grandparents, aunties, cousins...and of course...mommy, daddy & Chepe :)

A very important conversation...

I wonder what they were talking about? Looks like Lucas (on the left) is telling Alex his plan for escaping their boppy pillows. Alex doesn't seem to think it's possible..he looks a little concerned that they are boppy-ridden for a while longer!.

Happy two months my sweet little guys!

In other news...guess how's back?

...my old running self!!! Oh yeah baby!

I'm about 3 mins/mile slower than I used to be, but I've been back in my running shoes for almost 3 weeks and finally able to run over 3 miles without feeling like I was going to pass out in the middle of the road! ;) More on that coming soon (when I actually have time to blog!).

Thankful for...

Perfectly wrapped burritos babies, ready to go to bed....even though it's been 1.5 hours since that picture and they still insist on staying up!

My top 10 reasons to be thankful today...

  • My Alex and Lucas
  • My husband who keeps me smiling (and forgives me when I'm losing it!)
  • My family that has helped me SO MUCH!. I have no idea how I would have survived the last 1.5 months without my mom, my dad and my stepmom.
  • My sisters who are always there to listen and make me laugh.
  • My friends who know that I do still care for them even though I haven't talked to them in...well, 1.5 months!
  • My cleaning lady -- enough said.
  • My running shoes...been out there twice since getting the go ahead from the Dr. Will need my running shoes to get me back into shape!.
  • My DVR. I know it sounds silly...but without it I would never watch any of my favorite shows!
  • My doggie, Chepe. He knows that I love him and I hope he forgives me for making him share his couch with the boys.
  • Wine. Again, enough said.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!!
